Introductory Demonstration Flights – Fly a Helicopter!
Los Angeles Helicopters provides demonstration flights in Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters to aspiring helicopter pilots that consist of ground instruction and hands-on, air-flight training on your first flight!
Lessons consist of 30 minutes of ground school conducted at the helicopter that explain how the helicopter flies, functions of cockpit controls, how to read gauges, how to conduct pre-flight inspection and make sure the helicopter is safe to fly.
Following ground school, air flight lessons are 30 or 60 minutes during which students take the controls under the guidance of instructors and will feel what it is like to pilot a helicopter.
Students will get the chance to experience most flight conditions including straight and level flight, climbs, turns and descents, as well as hoovering, the most challenging and exhilarating experience of helicopter flight.
Experienced instructors with thousands of flight hours have created the demonstration flight as the most comprehensive way for someone who has never piloted a helicopter to experience how it is performed and obtain a basic understanding of piloting a helicopter.
Demonstration flights are conducted in two seater Robinson R22’s, just the pilot and you. Four seater Robinson R44s are available with space for two additional passengers to ride along for a fun and safe experience! Fun, safe and exciting, the flight time in a demo lesson counts towards your pilot license and is the best way to determine if you want to earn your private or commercial pilot’s license.
