FLIGHT TRAINING

Los Angeles Helicopters offers a large selection of training courses, ranging from the basic training for the first day pilot, right through to advanced flight training skills such as high altitude and mountain training.

Los Angeles Helicopters is a nationally-accredited flight training school approved by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Part 141 Private, Commercial, Flight instructor, and External Load Training Facility. Our mission is to create a growth environment for all of our student pilots looking to map out their career paths.

ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES

Our advanced flight courses provide enhanced training for professional pilots and those. Courses include External Loads training, Law Enforcement flying and Mountain/High Altitude training.

AB-INITIO FLIGHT TRAINING COURSES

LA Helicopters is an FAA Part 141 accredited flight school. We provide training from initial Private pilot level through to the Airline Transport Pilot license.

ADD-ON COURSES

Pilots who already hold pilot ratings in fixed-wing or other aircraft can earn what's called an "Add-On" Rating in a helicopter, with reduced requirements. This builds on the pilots existing experience.

VETERANS FINANCIAL AID

LA Helicopters has received approval from the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) to apply a veteran's vocational training allotment (GI Bill) towards their flight training goals.

THEORY COURSES

In addition to our Advanced Courses, we provide additional courses in subjects such as Crew Resource Management, to enhance pilot training for today's progressive workplace.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Our flight school trains students from around the world, providing training in a personal and friendly environment. As an accredited flight school, LA Helicopters can provide M1 visas for our vocational students.
